Frequently Asked Questions Questions regarding the Mothers Group 1. Do I need to be a Mother to join the Mothers Group?
Answers
1. Do I need to be a Mother to join the Mothers Group? NO! I have called it that because it ’s representative of it’s origins, that's all. Ultimately it’s a business mastermind group, ready to assist all members Build their Mother of a Business as an Asset, ideally via an EXIT strategy to SELL it for MAX value. 2. If I already have a business, does the Mothers Group apply? Absolutely. Starting with the End in Mind begins at a time and place, as at now! It does not have to be when your first commenced your business. The point of the Mothers Group, whether gathered through your own means or via joining mine, is to take stock of where your current business is, and then arm you with all the thinking, tools and techniques necessary to review and rebuild it, maximising FULL VALUE. By joining the Mothers Group, you are giving yourself the permission to work ON your business for a short period of time a month, as opposed to always working IN it. This is the secret to achieving what you want. 3. If I don't have a business yet, does the Mothers Group also apply? Absolutely. The perfect place to begin is by Starting with the End in Mind! By joining the Mothers Group, you are giving yourself the permission to work ON your business for a short period of time a month. The best habit to get into from the beginning. 4. How do I know I’m ready to be part of a Mothers Group? When what you’re currently doing is no longer working for you. Whether that be because the Mother of a Business you started is stuck or whether you just want to get out and start something fresh. The Mothers Group is for current or want-to-be entrepreneurial mother®s. The concepts are offered at different levels of complexity, to cater for start-ups, growth mode, and ready to be Sell. The option of creating your own Mothers Group also enables you to gather those in your community that are at a stage similar to yours. If you decide to join mine, then I will always be mindful of the stage of Mother of a Business building each participant is up to. Having said all that though, any entrepreneurial mother can readily understand the basic concepts about building a Mother of a Business as an Asset and will be successful if they are prepared to DO what it takes. 5. Do you build a Mother of a Business for me? NO! not via the entrepreneurial mother®s Group that is. Instead, we talk about everything you need to build your own Mother of a Business as an Asset through the Mothers Group. You will also have the opportunity to be in the Live Hot Seat for the particular show-and-tell sessions, which will not only add a lot of value to what you’ve already done, it will showcase your business to the many other entrepreneurial mothers accessing the same session. As an aside, I am always up for looking at new business opportunities too, so be sure to bear that in mind as appropriate... 6. How do I build anything if I can’t overcome my fear of "selling" or that kind of thing? If you have trouble talking about your Mother of a Business to those who need to hear about it, then we have one of two things wrong…or both! Either:
So you're saying talking about what you do does not come naturally. Remember though, everybody succeeds by selling something! 7. Are there any “mistakes to avoid” when building a Mother of a Business as an Asset? Of course. There are many, but one of the main ones I believe is to not think you are on your own. If you do not have a supportive business group around you, then that’s where the full value of the Mothers Group kicks in. At the other end of the spectrum, is not to get too big for your breeches! :) Instead, always look to support your team, whether they be family or employees, clients or suppliers; help them and create healthy ongoing relationships. Think of all as your children and treat them accordingly. Being part of the Mothers Group means you don't have to face any of these mistakes on your own, and I'm only a phone call away. 8. Is it different building businesses in other countries like the USA, UK and Australia for example? Yes, in some regards. But that’s more in terms of legal and accounting matters. Starting with the End in Mind emphasises finding the best and appropriate professionals for your particular need is paramount, thus addressing any of these more serious matters. I do address who they should be generally, regardless of where you live, and will even offer recommendations if appropriate, as will Mothers Group members. But basically building a Mother of a Business comes down to one key consideration. You need to connect with your market irrespective of where they come from. This means respecting the way things are done, the local attitudes and maybe even watching your P's and Q's a little! 9. Does my Mother of a Business have to be “home based”? Up to you! Some Mother of a Business’ and lifestyle choices lend themselves to being more home based, others do not. It will depend on your existing Mother of a Business or the idea you’re currently working on, and the designed lifestyle you ultimately want. How you want to EXIT the business will also dictate the best place to house your Mother of a Business. Not intentionally! Your Mothers Group is about building a Mother of a Business as an Asset. However, some of the business owners may, from time to time, choose to advertise to the entrepreneurial mother® community when looking for assistance in their own business. 11. How long does the Mothers Group run for? As long as it makes sense for you. If in time, you feel the Mothers Group is no longer useful, you can resign. Advising your own Mothers Group, and by canceling your membership by emailing me, can do this. However before you do it, I would encourage you to email me first with your intentions, as I might just have an opportunity brewing that I wouldn’t want you to miss out on. 12. Why a Mothers Group every month? What if I cannot do what is required from one month to the next? It's as much about maximising the use of your Time and discipline building as anything else. Most people do not spend any time working ON their Business; they spend all their time working IN it. That has to change if you are serious about building your Mother of a Business as an Asset. So, this is about creating a monthly breathing space to do just that. Bear in mind, there are also the weekly eClasses, until they run out. You can do them at your leisure, although they too stop, if you do. 13. Why an eClass every week? What if I cannot do what is required from one week to the next? They’re your introduction if you like, especially if you’ve not built a Mother of a Business before. Each eClass lasts as long as a drinking a cup of tea. If you really DO want to Unlock the Secret to creating what you want, these definitely help. You must spend some additional time each week working ON your Mother of a Business. So why not do it as part as a structured, understanding and supportive Mothers Group, run by someone who has "been there, done that"? 14. Can I access previous lessons regardless of when I join and/or ones I may have missed? When you join the Mothers Group, the eClasses start at the very beginning; it’s a very good place to start (as we sing "doh ray me!"). You receive a new eClass email every week, which provides you with a link to the chosen gem! You always have access to them while you’re a member of the Mothers Group, so you can view them when and as many times as you want to. Rest assured, I am very mindful of school and holiday time, and all the other motherly duties that comes with such a yearly calendar. As a result, I endeavour to structure the Mothers Group so that there is the appropriate down time as required. Regardless, as a member of the Mothers Group, you will be able to manage your time so at any time so you'll never lose out. You could even investigate recording your Mothers Group if you’re not going to attend. 15. Do you have a non-compete/confidentiality policy regarding information that I share with you? Believe me when I say I do not want to be caught in a "conflict of interest" with any of the members. Besides which, as I’m mentoring all the entrepreneurial mothers®, I won’t have time to do anything else anyway! Seriously though, I know it's important that you feel comfortable sharing the details of your Mother of a Business projects with me and other members. Most of my members do, but there are some who prefer to discuss things in more general terms - it's entirely up to you. I'm confident you will find after working within the Mothers Group for a while that you begin to feel more and more comfortable sharing more and more details. Please be guided by your own feelings - I won't be offended if you choose to keep things to yourself. I can only work with what information you give me after all! If you do want talk to me privately and in turn want me to sign a confidentiality agreement, I will oblige of course. Be sure to ask me. 16. How do I know that the others in the Mothers Group will add value to my journey? A Mothers Group will mostly appeal to those who are looking to:
Oh, and who may be the primary bread winner like myself. No member will be accepted unless they can hand-on-heart agree to these conditions. Also, the monthly get-togethers are dedicated to voicing and choosing what is to be explored, from one time to the next, so you will always have the option of nominating what that topic is to be, so that it is of most benefit to your needs moving forward. 17. Please explain more about how the Mothers Group works. I've taken a lot of time to plan it so that the Mothers Group is extremely easy for busy entrepreneurial mothers to follow, and fit in their Life. The Mothers Groups meetings are nominated at a time and place that suits all participants, and then locked in monthly. The eClasses are structured in an easy to follow, step-by-step logical sequence. I definitely did not want it to be one of those programs that say, "Here's lots of information – now figure out what to do with it yourself”! When you join the Mothers Group and consistently apply the information in the eClasses as they arrive each week, plus what you learn from the Mothers Group meetings and Interviews and Live Hot Seats etc, you should start seeing a marked improvement in your Mother of a Business redevelopment in approx 90 days (12 weeks). Following on from that, very 12 weeks you will advance that much more again. By the end of your first year, imagine how well your Mother of a Business (and your Life) will be ticking along... Maybe you'll even be ready to move onto your next one! After we’ve covered the initial round of must DO's in the first 12 weeks, the next phase will start to fine-tune your Mother of a Business to improve thinking and then your sales. Next, we move onto advanced topics such as sourcing or creating products, structuring back end sales, joint ventures, how to grow without hiring, and how to continue to build that Mother of a Business, or even how to sell it if you’re ready to move to the next one, etc, etc. All of which are within the context of building your Mother of a Business as an Asset. 18. How do I access the Interviews and be in the Live Hot Seats? Interviews will be with "living the dream" entrepreneurial mothers and other key people who share their stuff around Motherhood and Business. Why not embrace the opportunity to be the lucky Hot Seat candidate? (in other words, show and tell of your Mother of a Business that I give feedback on - LIVE!) If I think you're it makes sense, or you beat me to it and ask me, you will have plenty of warning so you can prep yourself as you need to. If you think you’re ready to be in the Hot Seat, email me on info@theentrepreneurialmother.com Notification of these is emailed in addition to the eClass series. 19. What will be different in joining your Mothers Group? The benefits of joining my Mothers Group are as follows:
20. Why is joining your Mothers Group USD$49 per month? In order to put this business cost into some perspective, to access my time on an individual basis, usually costs a whole lot more than your growing business could prossibly afford. However, charging this bargain basement minimum spread over more than one of you means you can all collectively afford it. Well, your Mother of a Business can, that is! Compare this to an one-off, one-day 8-hour workshop. Now do you start to appreciate the real long-term value? It’s cheap at half the price!! And most importantly, it really is wise spending of your Mother of a Business cash flow. To be inclusive of our whole-world community, and to continue to bring ALL mothers into the mix, US dollars is the international currency of choice (at the moment!). 21. How do I pay the monthly subscription? Your monthly subscription amount will be deducted automatically from your chosen credit card or bank account. Your initial charge will be USD$49. You will then be charged USD$49.00/month for 23 months (or unless you cancel) after your initial charge has been made. The charge will appear as "Clickbank" on your statement. 22. How secure is your payment processing? Payments are processed through Clickbank in US dollars. Clickbank offers a totally secure payment processing, and you can visit its website for the detail of how this is achieved www.Clickbank.com. 23. What if I cancel, do I get my money back? See below for the entrepreneurial mother® money-back guarantee. 24. Why do you need my email address? Each week, you will be emailed a link to your eClass. In addition, from time to time, I email useful information about entrepreneurial mothers, lifestyle, money and business, over and above what is contained in the regular emails. Your email address is held in strictest privacy, and will not be released to any third party for any reason whatsoever, unless required by law. You will most certainly not be subjected to spam as a result of the entrepreneurial mother® community membership. 25. I’m not confident about some of these topics – where can I brush up a bit more outside of the Mothers Group? Books worth reading as a starting point are...
Available at all good bookshops! Playing Robert Kiyosaki’s Cashflow 101 game and Loral Langmeier’s Millionaire Maker game is also a great way to reinforce basic personal financial principles, as is the classic games like Monopoly. 26. What is the content of the Mothers Group based on? Many factors. My own story, international experience and subsequent education through my mentors, but also a number of workshops I have personally created, developed and facilitated over the last few years. A selection of Testimonials has been sprinkled throughout the site. Because many of them wanted to continue their journey post workshop, that provided the impetus for this online version to be born. 27. What the Mothers Group is NOT! The Build a Mother of a Business Mothers Group is NOT the standard, run-of-the-mill "how to start a business" or "look at me, I'm a coach" Mothers Group. You know the ones; where the aspire-to-be's talk about doing things that they have NEVER actually done. The best Mothers Group will always be with the person you want to model. If you cannot find the proof you seek, then don't even go there. Having said that, I am more than happy to supply further proof you want and need (if I've not already) just ask! 28. What if I want more access to you? That will have to be a separate arrangement; one we can discuss at a mutually agreed time/date. 29. How did you learn to be an entrepreneurial mother so effectively? Apart from already being an unemployed, homeless and pregnant singleton who morphed into the entrepreneurial mother® through building and selling her 7-figure business during guilt-free school hours… strategic and focused education is so important. If you’re not fortunate enough to be surrounded by experienced “been there, done that” kind of role models (which is sadly quite often the case), how else will you learn? Education takes many forms obviously, and for me the key ways are:
This enables me to now feel pretty comfortable when making all sorts of Mother of a Business, lifestyle-centric decisions, including the BIG ones; and/or I know who to go to for advice. This is an ongoing learning, growing, building of knowledge and skills, which I continue to nurture, and as I hope you will too. 30. How have you stayed healthy and sane while being a mother and building your Mother of a Business? With attention and discipline! It is vital to establish a routine for managing your energy. We’ll talk about how to structure your days and weeks in the Mothers Group, to keep a handle on the stress of wild success! That said, it’s no different to being a great mother; incorporate good quality food, family time, play time, as much sleep as possible, exercise regularly, lots of water, surround yourself with an awesome team and good friends etc. Mind you though, I’m as guilty as anyone of not always being on top of these things all the time either! Oh, and I do love chocolate... 31. Tell me more about Buying2give and the entrepreneurial mothers Buddy program? Whilst still embryonic, the crux of the Buddy Program is to provide real support and micro-finance to the want-to-be entrepreneurial mothers of our own local communities. A very exciting step in the entrepreneurial mother® growth, and that world domination!
I hope these questions and answers have helped. If you'd like to join the entrepreneurial mother® Mothers Group, I'd love to have you as a member.
